I am Annemarie Eggink and I founded AVE Consulting LLC (formerly O.R.D.E.R. LLC) in 1998. A decade earlier, my father’s diagnosis of macular degeneration, meant things were going to change in our family. By the early 90’s I was helping my parents with their financial affairs and ten years later when my father passed away, I took over managing my mother’s affairs and household. I had also become the go-to person for friends and family who were going through life transitions – divorce, loss of a spouse, relocation/move, health emergencies. What I realized was that my natural skills of organizing and problem solving combined with my extensive business experience made it possible for me to strategize, plan and solve many of the problems that these types of situations created for those I cared about. I recognized that there were so many people dealing with similar struggles and that I could make a positive impact on people’s lives by putting my skills and knowledge to work for them.
My mission is to bring peace of mind and provide personalized systems and solutions through accurate and compassionate support to individuals and families that need or desire assistance with life’s tasks from financial organizing to managing personal affairs to settling one’s estate.
After completing my B.S. degree in business, I started my career as an Operations Manager. In this position I was responsible for human resources, managing over 100 people and handling a budget of over $25 million. While working as a manager I returned to school to get my Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. In the mid 90’s I moved to Europe where I worked as a management consultant throughout the Netherlands and Germany. I worked on social policy issues helping companies with management training, policy development and financial planning. After two years I returned to the U.S. and took a position as a re-engineering consultant helping small businesses learn how to function like large corporations simply on a smaller scale. A great thing about my years in corporate consulting was that no two jobs were the same. The problems, goals and personnel changed with each job. To be successful, I had to be able to adapt, think on my feet and be creative with out-of-the-box suggestions and solutions.
I believe education is an ongoing process. I have completed an extensive Fiduciary Management program through California State University – Fullerton where I acquired a Certificate in Professional Fiduciary Management for Trustees and the same for Conservator. I am also a Certified Senior Advisor through the Society of Certified Senior Advisors. Earning a CSA certification requires individuals to pass a rigorous exam and to uphold the highest ethical standards for the benefit and protection of the health and welfare of seniors. Holders of a CSA are also required to continue to participate in learning programs and fulfill annual CEU credit requirements.
Outside of work I am a true DIY’er. I like to do home maintenance and construction projects. I have “flipped” several homes. As a former board member for an HOA I managed projects such as roofing for 48 homes, a $300K repaving and drainage project and negotiated contracts. My understanding of construction, contractors, code requirements and homeowner’s associations are unique credentials I can provide whenever needed.
I can help you because I have over 20 years of success helping hundreds of clients and all their various situations bringing clarity, order and problem-solving to each interaction. I create great working relationships not just with clients, but with their other professional advisors and when appropriate family and caregivers. The partnership that we create applies my vast experience and knowledge to your targeted needs and personal circumstances.
